زار نائب رئيس الحكومة وزير الصحة غسان حاصباني دير مار ماما في اطار جولته على منطقة مرجعيون حيث كان في استقباله رئيس الدير ولفيف من الرهبان، وجال على أرجائه فزار الكنيسة وتمّ زرع زيتونة بإسمه.
