Lebanese army and ISF execute intensive security measures
The Lebanese army and Internal Security Forces (ISF) are implementing exceptional security measures as of Tuesday until the election of a new president, especially in the city of Beirut.
“Security measures have been taken to safeguard stability and order in sensitive regions,” said a military spokesman without elaborating on the number of troops participating.
On the other hand, the ISF’s level of readiness has reached 90%.
“Most of ISF forces have been deployed in sensitive areas such as the Phoenicia Hotel, the Grand Serail and the parliament in downtown Beirut,” an ISF spokesman said.
