Lebanese man living in the US replies to Wahhab’s accusations

The Lebanese daily An-Nahar published a reply from Simon al-Hajj, a Lebanese national living in the US, to accusations made by former Minister Wiam Wahhab over the former’s participation in military training conducted by Lebanese Forces and Progressive Socialist Party members.

Wahhab had made public the pictures of several people who he claimed belonged to the LF and PSP undergoing military training.

Hajj said in his reply that he had been living in the US since October of 2000, and that he hasn’t been in Lebanon since that date.

He also denounced Wahhab’s accusations and said that the pictures were taken from a Canadian military photo gallery displayed on the internet.

“I would like to inform the Lebanese public that I was wounded during the war in Lebanon and suffer from a

permanent physical injury, which is proven by medical reports,” Hajj told An-Nahar.

Hajj said that he maintains his right to sue Wahhab over these allegations and called on Lebanese authorities to investigate the matter and take necessary measures.
