
Shares up again at Beirut Stock Exchange
Shares of Solidere went up again today. Solidere “A” shares closed at $ 24.09 and “B” shares at $ 24.00. “A” shares went up 2.42% and “B” shares went up 2.73%.
Bank shares did well too :
Banque Audi GDR shares was up 2.4% to close at $ 76.60
BLOM bank GDR was up 1.78% to close at $ 94.00
Byblos Bank “listed shares” was up about 1 % to close at $ 2.35

HOLCIM Liban a cement manufacturing company was down and closed at $ 20.05 resulting from profit taking following its rise a day earlier.
Market Capitalization for the shares traded on the exchange was up at $ 11,163 billion.
The Lebanese Pound ( Lira) was unchanged at USD/LBP :1507.5
Volume of trade today was relatively low at 391,019 shares and Value $ 5,364,281
Selection of General Suleiman as Lebanon”s next president is giving a boost to the market. The market after one year of sit-in by Hezbollah has been craving for some good news, according to financial analysts.
Even though the market is recovering some of its losses the share prices remain undervalued when compared to the period that preceded the Summer war between Hezbollah and Israel.
