MP Allouch: Had Aoun been candidate instead of Sleiman, would he have proposed conditions?

 

MP Mustafa Allouch of the Future bloc said that MP Michel Aoun is one of the opposition members who commissioned Speaker Nabih Berri to negotiate with March 14 on his group’s behalf.

 

“If this is not the case, Berri should announce it so March 14 will be able to negotiate with each faction separately,” Allouch told Future Television.

 

“Had Aoun been the candidate instead of Sleiman, would he have proposed conditions?” asked Allouch.

 

He also noted that Iran, Syria and their Lebanese allies are using Aoun as a cover to obstruct the presidential elections.

 

Allouch said that the government made a big mistake when it gave Hezbollah too much authority and a wide margin to act.
