March 14 win majority of seats in LAU student elections
March 14 students swept the student elections at the Lebanese American University”s (LAU) campuses in Beirut and Byblos on Wednesday.
At the Beirut branch, 10 of the 12 seats were won in the Faculties of Business and Arts and Sciences.
March 14 students Tala Khalifeh, Hani Nassabi, Lamia al-Masri and Allan Saed won seats at the Faculty of Business.
The other seats were won by opposition students Christelle Hindi and Mahmoud Qobeyssi.
At the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, all the seats were won by the March 14 students Amani Abdul Ghani, Nour Fayad, Samantha Hamade, Afif Rustum, Rana Temsaha and Rabih Abdul Samad.
As for LAU”s Byblos campus, March 14 students won nine out of 12 seats: Jess Srour, Rashad Ghanem and Toni Abi Habli, Rania Sharaf al-Din, Mustafa Salah and Etian Chehwan.
Yara Estephan, Hani Rizk and Michelle Chemalli earned seats for the opposition.
