Hezbollah and Amal supporters clash in South Lebanon

 

Amal and Hezbollah supporters clashed yesterday in Bourj Rahal, south of Tyre in South Lebanon.

 

The fight erupted when banners and pictures of Imam Moussa Sadr hoisted by Amal supporters were shredded by Hezbollah members.

 

During the clash, a Hezbollah supporter stabbed a member of Amal, who was hospitalized while the Lebanese army cordoned off the area.

 

Yesterday’s clash rose questions about the two groups’ alliance, especially since Amal and Hezbollah are allies in the opposition.
