General Sleiman: The army must preserve the same distance from all factions

 

Lebanese Army Commander General Michel Sleiman said that the sacrifices of the Lebanese army “must drive us today more than ever to distance ourselves from political debates and tensions and to preserve the same distance from all factions.”

 

Sleiman, during his visit to the army’s Special Forces base at Ghosta in Keserwan, expressed his appreciation of the sacrifices of the troops, especially during the 2006 July War and Nahr al-Bared conflict.

 

Sleiman called on Lebanese soldiers to stay alert and watch over citizens’ security and stability.
