Former MP Ghattas Khoury: The election is being obstructed intentionally

 

Former MP Ghattas Khoury expressed his hope that the Lebanese will be able to elect a president capable of reuniting the people and establishing a political agreement, which will lead to the establishment of a national-unity government.

 

“We will keep making efforts so that a president can be elected as soon as possible,” he added.

 

Khoury noted after his meeting with Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Sfeir that obstacles are intentionally being put in the way of the coming president.

 

He also said that problematic issues are not related to the presidency, but are the result of those who aspire to take over the country and preserve the presidential vacuum.
