General Michel Sleiman: The army takes a firm stance against those jeopardizing the country’s security

 

Army Commander General Michel Sleiman said that the military doctrine of the army is based on a belief in the unity of the Lebanese people and soil, in addition to confronting the Israeli army.

 

“This doctrine cannot change with circumstances because it emanates from the general interest of Lebanon,” Sleiman said during a visit to the army military school.

 

He also noted that the army takes a firm stance against those jeopardizing the country’s security.

 

“You are proof of the army’s doctrine and stance,” Sleiman said while addressing undergraduate officers. “You have managed to join the army because of your patriotism, your capacities and your qualifications,” he added.

 

The army commander called for building on the achievements and sacrifices of the Lebanese army throughout the past years.

 

He also expressed hope that the coming year will be fruitful and full of hope.
