General Sleiman: The army has become an example to follow

 

Army Commander General Michel Sleiman said that the Lebanese army has succeeded in its national achievements because it is abiding by the criteria of institutional work, including transparency and accountability.

 

“The army has become an example to follow,” he noted.

 

Speaking at a reception held at the Ministry of Defense, Sleiman said that accountability and liability are the balancing scale of institutions.

 

“The lack of such criteria result in corruption and lack of development,” said Sleiman. “This threatens the stability of the society,” he added.
