Two Irish soldiers released from hospital in Lebanon

Two Irish soldiers who were injured in a bomb attack in Lebanon were today released from hospital.

Major John McCormack and Sergeant David Williams – who are both from Dublin – have returned to their base

camp in the south of the country.

The men were on duty with UNIFIL yesterday when their UN jeep was hit by a roadside bomb.

A spokesperson for the Defence Forces said they would return to work in the coming days.
