MP Antoine Andraous criticizes Aoun over internally-displaced Christians

 

MP Antoine Andraous said MP Michel Aoun’s criticism of the course of the return of internally-displaced Christians is abhorrent.

 

“If Aoun was really concerned with this matter, he would visit their region and check whether or not they are back to their villages, for it is their right,” Andraous said.

 

He also noted that more than 80% of the internally-displaced Christians have obtained their rights and that reconciliation in the Chouf Mountain is not a lie or rumor, but the solid truth.

 

“The biggest lie is your presence, General,” Andraous said.

 

He asked Aoun about the fate of Christians displaced from the Dahiyeh region, Hezbollah’s stronghold.

“How come Christians are not back in this area yet?” he asked.

 

Andraous criticized Aoun for restricting his focus to the Chouf Mountain’s displaced without paying attention to other violations committed by the opposition and Hezbollah.
