Al-Madina daily: Moussa points to the opposition

 

The Saudi daily Al-Madina quoted an Arab source as saying that Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa hinted at the party responsible for obstructing the Arab initiative on Lebanon during his meeting with the head of the Foreign Relations Committee at the Italian Senate, Alberto Dini.

 

According to the daily, the Arab source also referred to the opposition as a major factor in hampering the efforts to solve the crisis in Lebanon.

 

“Moussa informed Dini that the problem in Lebanon is not over the identity of the president or a constitutional amendment but over trust between feuding parties,” the source told the daily.

 

“Moussa also informed Dini of the influential role Syria plays in Lebanon because of the historic relations between them,” it added.
