Samir Geagea: March 14 is being targeted because it is trying to rebuild Lebanon

 

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said that the explosion that targeted ISF Intelligence Services Captain Wissam Eid today is part of a series that started with the assassination attempt against Minister Marwan Hamadeh and has continued through the murder of Lebanese Army Brigadier General François Hajj.

 

“Lebanon is the target of these explosions,” Geagea said.

 

“March 14 is being targeted because it is trying to rebuild Lebanon, while other factions are not being targeted because they are not doing anything for Lebanon,” he added.

 

Geagea noted that today’s explosion could be a message to the Arab foreign ministers. “Someone is trying to say: Don’t adopt a stance against me,” Geagea said.
