National Day of Mourning For Eid, Comrades

Premier Fouad Saniora declared a day of national mourning on Saturday for Police Capt. Wissam Eid who was killed by a car bomb blast on Friday.

 

The memo issued by Saniora also said mourning was called to “denounce the assassination of martyr Eid and his civilian and military comrades who fell as a result of the terrorist crime.”

 

The blast killed Eid, his bodyguard and two civilians and wounded 38 others, by police count.
