March 14 Urges Heavy Turnout at Feb. 14 Rally

The March 14 Alliance has urged all Lebanese to participate in a popular movement for Feb. 14 to commemorate the third anniversary of ex-Premier Rafik Hariri”s assassination.

The invitation was read by Former President Amin Gemayel following a meeting held in Qoreitem Wednesday.

“On February 14 the Lebanese will reiterate their rejection of…civil war,” he said.

 

The statement added that the Lebanese “through their heavy participation” in Martyrs” Square will emphasize the formation of the international tribunal that would try suspects in Hariri”s assassination and related crimes and “reject the presidential void.”

 

“On February 14, the Lebanese will say out loud that they will not allow the failure of the Arab initiative,” Gemayel added.

 

“We call on the citizens of Beirut, Mount Lebanon, the south, the north and the Bekaa provinces to meet at Martyrs” Square to salvage Lebanon and prevent its assassination,” Gemayel read.
