March 14 expresses “great appreciation” to Kuwaiti Embassy

 

The March 14 forces strongly condemned the threat made against the Kuwaiti Embassy in Lebanon on Thursday and confirmed that Kuwait had an equally close relationship with all Lebanese.

 

A March 14 delegation visited the Kuwaiti Embassy on Friday. The delegation joined MP Wael Abu Faour of the Democratic Gathering bloc, former MP Fares Soueid, Michel Moukattaf of the Kataeb, Marwan Saker of the National bloc and Eddy Abi Allamaa of the Lebanese Forces.

 

On behalf of March 14, Abu Faour said that the intimidation suffered by the embassy not only targeted the State of Kuwait but also security and stability in Lebanon. “Kuwait has always played a crucial role in supporting the Lebanese people and their independence and stability.”

 

The delegation pointed out that the bomb threat made by an anonymous call to the embassy was “a message not only to Kuwait, but to all Arab countries that maintain political integrity in Lebanon.”

 

The delegation met with Tarek al-Hamad, the charge d’affaires at the embassy, and expressed their “great appreciation” for the “courage” the embassy staff demonstrated by opening their doors a mere 24 hours after the threat was made.
