Iranian army radio reveals dispute between Mugniyah and Nasrallah
Iranian army radio said that assassinated Hezbollah military commander Imad Mugniyah and the party’s secretary general, Hassan Nasrallah, had a dispute because Mugniyah wanted to take over control of the party’s General Secretariat.
Meanwhile, Mugniyah’s Iranian wife, Saada Badr Al-Dinn, reiterated her accusations against the Syrian regime for her husband’s assassination to the Italian news agency AKI.
The Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronot reported on its website that Syrian authorities have reached some results in their investigation into Mugniyah’s assassination but will not announce them until the Arab Summit is held in March.
“Syria is expecting both Egyptian and Saudi leaders to participate in the summit. If both countries boycott the summit, it is expected that Syria will publicly accuse one of them of standing behind Mugniyah’s assassination,” Yedioth Ahronot reported.
