
Mubarak, Saudi king pledged to settle Lebanon crises
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Wednesday met visiting Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, and the two leaders pledged joint efforts to settle Lebanon”s political crisis, Egypt”s official MENA news agency reported.
The two leaders also discussed the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as the issues of Iraq, Sudan”s Darfur and Somalia.
Mubarak”s talks with the Saudi king also include recent developments in the Middle East region and means to activate Arab solidarity.
The two leaders also pledged to enhance bilateral economic, trade and investment relations.
The last meeting between the two leaders took place in Riyadh in February.
