MP Adwan accuses Berri of “legitimizing legislative paralysis”

 

Vice President of the Lebanese Forces executive committee MP George Adwan remarked that while some people were trying to frame the Lebanese problem as an internal problem, the real problem lay in their attempts to turn Lebanon into a permanent war zone.

 

“To solve the problem, Syria must stop interfering in Lebanese matters and let the Lebanese elect a president as soon as possible,” he added.

 

After meeting with Prime Minister Fouad Siniora in the Grand Serail, Adwan said that Arab society had a one plan which outlined that any understanding with Syria required a resolving the political deadlock in Lebanon.

 

Adwan added that Speaker Nabih Berri had attempted to “legitimize the legislative paralysis of the parliament” and was now trying to legitimize his paralysis of parliament through the call to dialogue.
