March 14 wins the Order of Engineers and Architects elections in Beirut and Tripoli

The March 14 forces and their allies won a major victory in the elections of the Order of Engineers and Architects in Beirut and Tripoli.

 

The Syndical Solidarity list backed by March 14 won against the Syndical Union list supported by the opposition by 1,160 votes in Beirut. March 14 also won in Tripoli in North Lebanon.

 

The elections saw a Hezbollah loss for the first time in 15 years and a major decrease in support for the Free Patriotic Movement.

 

The winning March 14 list in Beirut includes Bilal Alayli, Antoine Kwayyis, Walid Sandid, George Khoury, Mohammed Al-Shamaa and Nemr Chamoun.

 

In Tripoli, the list supported by March 14 and Al-Jamaa Al-Islamiya includes Joseph Isaac, Haytham Aadra, Amer Jrad, Dr. Joe Kahlife, Antoine Saad, Ziad Hmouda and Mahmoud Fawwal.
