“The Lebanese Forces are not afraid of anything said about it or targeting it,” Zahra told the Voice of Lebanon radio station in a reply to Aoun’s hint at the responsibility of the Lebanese Forces over mass graves in Lebanon.
“Aoun has become a means used to bring down the basic elements of Christian presence in Lebanon,” Zahra added.
He also accused Aoun of seeking the destruction of the Church, political parties including the Kataeb, the National Liberal party, the National bloc party, martyr President Rene Mouawad and the Lebanese Forces party.
Zahra said that Aoun’s claims over the settlement of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon are not true. “They said that Palestinians are seeking to settle in Batroun in North Lebanon. But the truth is that a Jordanian national married to a woman from Batroun has bought a 1511 meters square piece of land. They turned this into a settlement operation,” he said.
