Chamoun suggests opposition policies be “buried” in mass graves

 

Head of the National Liberal party Dory Chamoun said that the US continued to support the Lebanese cause and the freedom, independence and sovereignty of Lebanon.

 

“American aid to Lebanon will noticeably increase in the near future,” he said, adding that American officials would not abandon their policies toward Lebanon.

In an interview with the National News Agency, Chamoun said that the subject of Palestinian resettlement in Lebanon was a waste of time which aimed at “undermining the majority” and would not succeed.

 

Chamoun invited those had brought up the notion of mass graves to “look for these graves and dig them up, and bury their policies in them.”

 

“This is the best thing they can do,” he added.

 

Chamoun was recently on an American tour during which he met a number of officials at the State Department, the Pentagon and the White House.
