Geagea reveals armed operations in Mount Lebanon

 
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea condemned the “bloody event” in Zahle on Sunday night, which left two Kataeb activists dead after a gunman opened fire after the inauguration of a party headquarters. Geagea said the murders grieved the people of Zahle and all Lebanese.

 

“The details of the incident Sunday indicate that it was not an innocent accident,” he said.

 

Geagea addressed the people of Zahle and Lebanon, asking them to preserve their calm and composure, and called on all Lebanese to participate in the funeral of Nasri Marouni and Salim Assi on Tuesday in Zahle.

 

After meeting with the president of the Federation of Municipalities in Zahle, Ibrahim Nasrallah, Geagea revealed that armed training was found in some areas of Mount Lebanon, which pointed to a plan to incite Christian clashes.
