Geagea describes Berri as “soft in form and harsh in content”

 

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea commented on Speaker Nabih Berri’s statement announcing the 19th postponement of a presidential-electoral session, describing Berri’s words as “soft in form and harsh in content.”

 

Geagea described Berri as an intelligent person who knows how to “direct” things. “But we want to know the reality of his proposal and what Hezbollah and General Michel Aoun make of what Berri said,” he added.

 

After meeting with US Charge D’Affaires Michelle Sisson, Geagea said the presidential election mechanisms are clearly described in the Lebanese constitution. “Why is the election of a president being linked to other issues?” he asked.
