Lebanese Forces Hit Back at Hizbullah
The Lebanese Forces on Saturday hit back at Hizbullah”s Nawaf Moussawi who accused the Christian group of conspiracy.
“Using a higher tone … and accusing us of conspiracy are desperate efforts that will not prevent the Lebanese Forces and the rest of the Lebanese from expressing their views freely and democratically,” a statement by the Lebanese Forces said.
The statement came in response to comments by Moussawi who accused LF leader Samir Geagea of “provoking Hizbullah.”
“Is Geagea trying to escalate his provocation of Hizbullah in light of the job that the Americans have assigned him to?” asked Moussawi, who is in charge of Hizbullah”s international relations department.
He accused Geagea of adopting an Israeli report on alleged tension between Hizbullah and U.N. Peacekeepers in south Lebanon, noting that the U.N. did not support the Israeli claim.
