Mufti Jouzo reveals Hezbollah attempt to assassinate him
Mufti of Mount Lebanon Mohammad Ali Al-Jouzo accused Hezbollah of “underdevelopment and the destruction of political life in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon,” adding that the party tried to “buy consciences everywhere and incite unrest.”
“History will reveal that the era of moral and political decadence in Lebanon emerged with the emergence of Hezbollah,” Mufti Jouzo said in a statement on Monday. “Why is this vanity and deviance? How many inches of Palestinian land were liberated?” Jouzo asked.
“Even their alliances are hateful and work to destroy democratic life,” the mufti added.
Jouzo said documented information on a Hezbollah attempt to assassinate him by tampering with his car brakes was under serious study. “This is the party’s despicable means to dislodge those who stand in their way, disclose their schemes or publicize their intentions,” he added.
