Sfeir Appeals for Calm, Return to Dialogue
Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Sfeir, who is currently on a visit to South Africa, has urged the Lebanese to return to the dialogue table to bring the country out of the "dangerous situation," An Nahar daily reported Saturday.
"The dangerous situation that Lebanon is going through…leads us to urge from South Africa our Lebanese brothers and sons…to stop harming citizens," the newspaper quoted Sfeir as saying in his appeal.
We urge the Lebanese "to sit at the dialogue table to come out with a solution that pleases everyone," he said.
Sfeir also stressed the need to bring Lebanon back to a situation of "security and peace."
