MP Antoine Zahra: Lebanese Forces hold reservations on election procedure
Lebanese Forces MP Antoine Zahra told LBC television on Friday that the LF was not at odds with Suleiman, but had its reservations on the issue of electing him without amending Article 49 of the Lebanese Constitution.
The article stipulates that "grade one" public officials are not eligible to run for president unless they have spent two years outside office.
Another pro-government MP, Butros Harb, also said that he will cast a blank vote on Sunday for the same reservation.
