Grand Mufti congratulates Siniora

Grand Mufti Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Qabbani congratulated incumbent Prime Minister Fouad Siniora on his appointment at the head of the new government, and wished him “success in forming a national government that satisfies all Lebanese, and success in the national and political tasks entrusted to him and the new government.”

The Mufti called on Lebanese leaders to facilitate Siniora’s task of forming the new cabinet at a time when the Lebanese, he said, were looking forward to the return of stability to their homeland.

Qabbani urged the Lebanese to stand alongside the new government to revive Lebanon politically, economically and socially, and to realize the hopes and aspirations of the Lebanese for a future of peace, security and stability.
