Lebanese Forces hopes for implementation of inaugural speech
After meeting with Prime Minister Fouad Siniora, MP George Adwan of the Lebanese Forces said his party was keen on meeting the concerns of Lebanese citizens, who had “suffered so much in terms of their living conditions.”
“There must be constitutional institutions to provide all people with their rights,” he added.
Adwan said that now that the Lebanese, who now had a president and parliament, still awaited cooperation between the two institutions to form a government that would serve the public.
The MP said the Lebanese Forces were looking forward to the implementation of President Michel Sleiman’s inaugural speech. “We will not resort to the streets again, for we have seen the disasters and tragedies that result from resorting to the street,” he added.
