Murr cabinet post is included in the share of Lebanon”s president
Al Hayat Sources have reported that acting Defense Minister Elias Murr will be included in the share of President Michel Suleiman for a cabinet post in the new national unity government.
Elias Murr”s father Michel Murr has already told Siniora that he wants his son to represent his bloc in the cabinet.
Michel Murr who used to be a key member of General Aoun”s Reform and Change bloc, quit the bloc and decided to be independent.
According to Al Hayat sources Aoun is going to fight hard during the coming elections against the return of Murr to the parliament, but this coulod end being a battle against the president himself, which could hurt Aoun badly, due to the popularity of the president.
Michel Murr according to the same sources will respond fiercely against Aoun in the northern Metn region. Murr is known to have one of the best election machines in the nation.
The president according to the Doha accord gets to chose 3 cabinet posts. The Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Defense will most probably be allocated to the president according to political observers.
