The Kennedy School of Government first trip to Lebanon

The Kennedy School of Government (KSG) in Harvard organized its first ever trip to Lebanon. Forty-five Political Science graduate students from twenty two different nationalities were among those who visited Lebanon in order to better understand our culture, history and current political situation.

The Public Relations and Foreign Affairs Department in the Lebanese Forces Students Association (LFSA) hosted the KSG group on two dates: Thursday the 22nd and Saturday the 24th of May.

On Thursday the 22nd the LFSA organized a trip to the North of Lebanon, in order to introduce the visitors to a part of Lebanon’s history and Christian culture making stops at the following tourists and historical attractions: Patriarchal Monastery, Gebran Khalil Gebran Museum and finally a visit to the Cedars.

On Saturday the 24th the LFSA held a seminar at the Lebanese Forces headquarters of Moarab. The seminar was consistent of two sessions, the first presented by three speakers: The tourism minister Mr. Joe Sarkiss and his political advisor Mr. Georges Melhem and Mr. Elie Khoury, the Foreign Affairs advisor of Dr. Samir Geagea. In the second part the KSG group had the chance to meet Dr.Geagea in a Q&A session. Afterwards the LFSA and KSG group ended the day after having lunch and visiting the Jeita grotto.
