MP Zahra: The establishment of the government is half way
MP Antoine Zahra of the Lebanese Forces said that the agreement over the repartition of shares between the opposition and the majority in the coming government has helped achieve half of what is needed in this regard.
Zahra noted that MP Michel Aoun’s attempts to obtain five ministers are part of a series of political maneuvers aimed at achieving more gains.
“The government could be established in the coming 48 hours, for some of the demands raised in this regard are only political maneuvers,” Zahra said.
He also noted that the Lebanese Forces did not impose any conditions on MP Michel Aoun over the naming of his candidates in the government.
“Thus, no one can impose conditions on the Lebanese Forces in this regard,” he added.
He also noted that the candidacy of LF leader Samir Geagea to the government is a serious matter regardless of the issue of portfolios.
