Phalange Party Sues Suspects in Zahle Crime
The Phalange Party on Wednesday lodged a legal suit against three suspects in the Zahle crime that resulted in the killing of party officials Nasri Marouni and Salim Assi.
The complaint was filed with judicial authorities by Phalange Party chief, ex-President Amin Gemayel, against Joseph, Tohme and Walid Zouki and accomplices.
The three were accused of carrying out a "terror crime against state security."
The complaint asked that the suspects, who remain at large, be tried by the Judicial Council, the highest court in Lebanon.
Verdicts of the Judicial Council are not subject to appeal.
