Egyptian FM condemns use of arms as breach of Doha agreement
The recent security incidents in Lebanon were a legitimate source of concern, according to Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmad Abou al-Gheit. Abou al-Gheit called for an immediate end to the violence and denounced the use of arms by some Lebanese factions, which he said was a clear breach of the Doha agreement.
In a press release, the FM said the security tension only emphasized the need to focus on forming a national-unity government in Lebanon.
Abou al-Gheit said Egypt would continue contacts with all Lebanese parties to concretize the Doha agreement as a solution to the ongoing problems in Lebanon.
