Minister Pharaoun: Election of president the greatest achievement on the national level
Minister Michel Pharaoun expressed his happiness with the adoption of the caza-based electoral law and the expansion of the Achrafieh electoral district to include the Rmeil and Saifi areas.
“The most important achievement on the national level is the election of a president and the turning of a new page,” Pharaoun added after meeting with Beirut Greek Orthodox Metropolite Bishop Elias Audi.
“We had hoped that the obstruction would have ended after this new page was turned,” he said.
Pharaoun also noted that people are concerned about the security situation in Lebanon and the ongoing clashes in Beirut and some regions in the Bekaa, “which threaten civil peace.”
