Earthquake Rocks South Lebanon
An earthquake, followed by a series of aftershocks, rocked south Lebanon Wednesday, causing no casualties but inflicting minor damage and sparking panic among the population.
The state-run National News Agency reported that the quake registered 6.0 on the Richter scale.
Aftershocks registered 3.0, the report added.
The development started panic among the population in villages of south Lebanon.
Several families evacuated homes in the village of Srifa and resorted to fields, fearing renewed quakes, the report added.
