Hariri: It is Time for Security Forces to Enforce Law and Order
Mustaqbal Movement leader Saad Hariri on Monday urged Tripoli citizens to practice self restraint, cooperate with the Army and security forces and avert foreign-designed schemes to lure them into factional fighting.
Hariri, in a statement distributed by his press office, also expressed "solidarity with Tripoli in its ordeal."
He termed Tripoli a "bastion … of national unity that has rejected to succumb to hegemony."
"Patience, patience and patience," Hariri urged Tripoli citizens.
"Tripoli is urged to be united in confronting schemes and wicked attempts to sow discord … with the aim of finishing off the state," Hariri added.
"Tripoli is urged to cooperate with the state and its security institutions as well as with the army. They have the sole right to spread state authority and apprehend those who spark trouble," Hariri said.
It is time for the army and security forces to "fully practice their role in enforcing security," Hariri declared.
