Saudi Arabia Urges Lebanese to Back Constitutional Institutions
The Saudi government has urged the Lebanese to invest the Doha accord, which ended Lebanon”s political crisis, in the interest of their country.
"The council stressed that it was necessary for the Lebanese to invest the Doha agreement in the interest of Lebanon and the Lebanese people," the Saudi Press Agency quoted Acting Minister of Culture and Information Khaled Bin Mohammed al-Qusaibi as saying on Monday.
Al-Qusaibi said after the Saudi cabinet”s weekly meeting that implementing the deal signed in the Qatari capital in May would help achieve peace through the functioning of constitutional institutions.
The Riyadh government also stressed the need for Lebanese to support state institutions, SPA said.
