President Michel Sleiman called his Syrian counterpart, Bashar al-Assad, on the phone to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries.
Sleiman also expressed thanks to Assad over the Syrian cabinet’s decision to exempt Lebanese citizens from paying a departure tax when crossing the Syrian border into Lebanon. The presidents also discussed the issue of the movement of trucks across the Syrian-Lebanese border.
They agreed to meet in Paris to discuss the issue of establishing diplomatic relations between their countries.
