MP Zahra: “The number and nature of portfolios is not important"
MP Antoine Zahra of the Lebanese Forces said that no final decision has been made yet over the distribution of ministerial portfolios, “neither the Ministry of Public Works nor any other one.”
“The number and nature of portfolios is not important. What matters is examining how the ministerial portfolios will be divided in accordance to the weight and political efficiency of each party,” Zahra told the Voice of Lebanon radio station Wednesday.
Zahra said that the chances of the Lebanese Forces abstaining from participation in the forthcoming government are very low.
“I hope that the government will be established ahead of the president’s trip to Paris to participate in the Mediterranean Union summit, because if not, it would be embarrassing for Lebanon in front of the international community.”
