Hariri says Lebanese deserve political stability and peace
MP Saad Hariri, head of the Future Movement, said the Lebanese deserved political stability and constitutional order to launch the era of President Michel Sleiman. This era would begin with the national unity government, which was finally announced on Friday.
“On this occasion, I would like to pay special tribute to the outgoing ministers for their sacrifices and dedication in the service of Lebanon,” Hariri said.
Hariri especially noted Social Affairs Minister Nayla Mouawad, Telecommunications Minister Marwan Hamadeh, Justice Minister Charles Rizk, State Minister Michel Pharaon, Tourism Minister Joe Sarkis, Finance Minister Jihad Azour, Economy Minister Sami Haddad, Youth and Sports Minister Ahmed Fatfat, and Interior Minister Hassan Sabeh.
Hariri also expressed deep thanks to “all Future Movement ministers and MPs, who proved that they are always ready to sacrifice for the benefit of Lebanon and the Lebanese.”
“I pay special tribute to former MP Ghattas Khoury, who did not hesitate to withdraw his candidature at this time, as in the past, for the interests of Lebanon in general and the interests of March 14 specifically,” Hariri added.
He concluded by promising the Lebanese to follow the path of his father, assassinated Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, Gibran Tueni and the rest of Lebanon’s martyrs and consecrate the unity of Muslims and Christians.
