Geagea for Building State Structure
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said the main challenge facing Lebanon is creating a state structure and this cannot be achieved without tackling the issue of Hizbullah weapons.
The issue of Hizbullah weapons is not a "mere slogan for an election campaign or a political agenda. It is the title of our battle," Geagea said.
"The only target of our march is the creation of state structure in Lebanon … for this to be achieved there should be no mini-states in Lebanon," Geagea added.
The main challenges facing the majority alliance, according to Geagea, are: restricting weapons to state agencies, demarcating borders with Syria and stabilizing the security situation.
He reiterated a call for launching national dialogue before discussing the new cabinet”s policy statement, saying it "shouldn”t take a long time."
