Suleiman: Damascus Visit Determined After Return To Beirut
President Michel Suleiman said he would be visiting Damascus "soon" to discuss ways to improve relations between the two countries after a three-year break following the assassination of former Premier Rafik Hariri, which was blamed by many on Syria.
Following an agreement in Paris on Sunday, Syrian President Bashar Assad was to send an invitation to Suleiman to visit Damascus.
Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem will visit Lebanon soon to deliver the invitation to Suleiman.
Suleiman, however, said his Damascus trip would be determined after his return to Beirut from Paris.
