Finance Minister Mohammad Chatah said that a stable security situation in the region will have a positive impact on the economic and social conditions in Lebanon.
“I hope Lebanon will benefit from the financial reforms adopted by the international community ahead of the Paris III Conference,” Chatah told Al-Mustaqbal daily.
He added that there is no national-unity government at present, because the newly-appointed cabinet does not have a joint national vision.
“The objective of the cabinet… must be to reach this vision,” Chatah added.
Minister Chatah also said that the upcoming legislative elections should be democratic and cannot be held in an unstable environment.
