Aoun To Manar: I Took Part in Achieving “This Victory”
Free Patriotic Movement leader Michel Aoun congratulated Hizbullah for the swap of prisoners with Israel, saying it was the outcome of "victory achieved in the July war."
Aoun, in a statement to Hizbullah”s al-Manar Television, said he took part in achieving "this victory by as much as I showed solidarity with the cause."
Aoun was among other officials who gathered at Beirut Airport to welcome the freed prisoners.
Commenting on participation by representatives of majority factions in the welcome, Aoun said: "I hope that events have changed their concepts."
