Lahoud says only competition in March 14 is over services provision
Minister of State Nassib Lahoud on Thursday said he considered national reconciliation the top national issue as it was a prerequisite to social and economical stability, noting that Lebanese President Michel Sleiman and the national unity government had the capability to apply the decisions made unanimously in the previous round of national dialogue.
Lahoud said that it would be a “great accomplishment” if national dialogue was able to settle the issue of arms control.
He also stated that there was no conflict within the March 14 alliance, but there continues to be competition on providing services.
The next parliamentary elections will be executed according to major political agreements, he added.
Lahoud, in a talk with ‘Arab Weekly’ and ‘Magazine’, stated that the issue of Lebanese prisoners in Syria was very important and should be resolved. He expressed his hope that all members of the government will cooperate on all issues.
