MP Kabbara: No Elections if Armed Factions Persist
MP Mohammed Kabbara warned Thursday that there would be no elections in 2009 if a "Lebanese party remains armed."
Kabbara, member of the Tripoli Gathering, said "maintaining weapons is a real red line declared by the Lebanese people who are keen on freedoms in our country."
He said the intro to rebuilding the concept of a state is "banning the spread of weapons."
Kabbara made the remark after talks with Mustaqbal Movement leader Saad Hariri at the latter”s residence.
